A little about the SCA and our merchandise for the SCA
For those of you who are in the SCA you know what this is all about for our customers who aren’t this is a very brief description of it.
The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. The SCA "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dress in clothing and jewelry of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, we attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops.
As for our wares we cut and shape most of our own stones either freeform or cabochon. We try to stay away from using tiger tail and modern clasps whenever possible for true period jewelry. We make most of our own findings (yes we even make our own jump and closed rings)
We hand wire, string and knot on silk and cord and never use monofilament on finished bead and pearl work. We hand forge penannular brooches, hair sticks, bracelets and torcs. We are most happy to custom create for your needs and to match your garb.
