After 6 months of him trying to figure out how to get this piece into his dragon’s horde of stones and jewelry, it ended up going to our own James. The Solstice Gate is James’ favorite piece that Merlin created, and most worthy of showing and a bit of an explanation (as it never made it onto the web page for sale). The main piece is a triplet, consisting of a Fine example of Canadian labradorite atop a slice of Obsidian and backed with a piece of sterling silver. The Stonehenge gate, which by the way is the winter solstice gate, is cut from sterling silver and hammer finished. The rising solstice sun is a plug of carnelian set in the labradorite and polished flush. The colors you see are the natural refraction of light in the labradorite. The price was $375.00 if you would like a piece in this style please feel free to contact us.
